Chris Cazer Promoted to President of IA Systems
Industry veteran to guide vision for company
and StreamLend®
Velocity
ALBANY,
N.Y., June 28, 2006 –
IA Systems—a provider of lending software and services for credit unions,
banks, and other financial institutions—announced that Chris Cazer has been
promoted to president. The role of president is a
new position and provides a clear succession path for when CEO
Deborah Ryan retires at the end of the year.
Ryan,
CEO since 2001, has elected to
step down to pursue personal goals. During her tenure at IA Systems,
the company has quadrupled sales, doubled its client base, and doubled its
headcount to total 80 employees. Ryan also led the development and launch of
IA Systems’ new web-based loan origination system StreamLend Velocity.
“The Board of Directors of IA Systems and I have complete confidence in
Chris’ ability to lead this company,” Ryan said. “He has the industry
insight, knowledge, and leadership skills necessary to take IA Systems and
StreamLend Velocity to new heights.
This year’s launch of StreamLend Velocity opened a new chapter for
IA Systems. Our comprehensive, forward-looking
technology will foster the success of many lending programs, and Chris is in
an ideal position to guide those efforts.”
Cazer
joined IA Systems in 2004. Prior to being named president, he was
chief operating officer and oversaw 75 percent of the company, including
product development and delivery, product management, consulting, and client
satisfaction and support, as well as the planning and production of the
annual client conference. He began his career at the company as vice
president of client services, where his leadership skills were used to
direct a large team of client services and support staff. Cazer also
implemented several new initiatives, including a client advocacy program, to
ensure that each IA Systems’ client receives superior service.
Before joining IA Systems, Cazer was senior vice
president of engineering and chief technology officer of Excelergy, a
start-up company near Boston that develops enterprise software products for
billing and customer care, commodity trading, and financial markets. There,
Cazer was responsible for product engineering, product strategy, client
delivery, customer support and technical sales support, and he helped
increase annual sales from $0 to $18 million in four years. Cazer refined
his information technology expertise during a 12-year career at Fidelity
Investments, which manages in excess of a trillion dollars in assets, where
he held several positions, including Vice President of Retail Technology and
VP of Strategic Development.
“IA Systems has
developed into an innovative industry leader under the guidance of Deb
Ryan,” Cazer said. “I am proud to assume her well-developed initiatives and
lead the company and our clients into the next generation of loan
processing. I fully believe that our product,
StreamLend Velocity, is a best-of-breed solution
with the capabilities to make significant advances in the lending
marketplace; I look forward to being part of that progress.”
